MicroCell (The Other Guys)

• Small areas of coverage per WAP
• WAPs set to different channels with no spectrum remaining for future expandability
• Many handoffs to move from end to end

MacroCell

• Large areas of coverage per WAP
• Fewer WAPs required for the same coverage areas
• Reduces the need for an expensive controller

Virtual Cell

• Many WAPs, virtualized in a central WAP
• All WAPs broadcast on the same channel
• Only one true WAP, creating smooth, uninterrupted wifi

Guest Wireless

It is absolutely necessary to provide guest access in your home or office. You shouldn’t have to give one of your 12 year old kids friends access to your network. There is nothing more dangerous than a 12 year old with an iPad. Creating this guest network can have multiple benefits when configured properly.  Your friends, family and co workers need to log onto  a high speed internet connection to help save battery life on their devices and connect at faster speeds. Why denie them? Why go threw all the motions to set up file sharing throughout your network for digital media and let anyone have access to your private folders and files and pictures. Have a camera system on site? Don’t risk someone gaining access to your system and have the ability to keep an eye on you.
